To begin Mediterranean Month, let’s start with some food. Sure, there will be other stuff, but let’s face it… the food is what really matters. I’ve gathered up some of my favorite articles from the past below, but these are not the only Mediterranean inspired dishes you will find here.
Not included is Making Pasta at Home. This is essential Mediterranean food information. If you have never made it from scratch, I urge you to give it a try. Dried pasta simply doesn’t compare, but if you are using dried pasta (and I often do) check out Know Your Food: Pasta Basics.
Tomato and Mozzarella Focaccia
Mediterranean Chicken and Quinoa Salad
Baked Farfalle with Summer Squash
This is just a small sampling of the many Mediterranean dishes you’ll find here. Because of the simplicity of the cooking and the use of fresh ingredients, it has always been my cuisine of choice. In fact, some of these recipes are from the very beginning of Today’s Nest (as evidenced by the images). Which are your favorites? Try some and let us know.
